What a sporty month this is turning out to be. I have so many sports related cakes to make this month. Below is a cake I was asked to make for a huge West Ham fan. This cake started of as a 12 inch square which I created a template for and cut out the T-shirt shape. All the lettering is hand cut with a hand painted logo. I have to say the hardest part of this was getting the claret to be the right shade. I started off with a Sugarflair ‘claret’ food paste which comes out a little pink to be the West Ham colours but it was a good start…
I really loved how this cake came out. I have added a close up image of this to my cake gallery so take a look. Also if you liked this cake then come back at the end of the week as I am also making a Chelsea football shirt cake.
